Wanted to try a different method of coloring this time using more brush color shades. It came out pretty good despite the fact that its messy, but hey that's the point! I want the brush strokes to be visible. Yeah this pic and "Hug me Please" Is more different than the usual things I draw, but I think their significant.
This is part 1 of the Scarecrow brothers.

"I'm trapped in between a crossroad, not able to move, not able to speak.
I'm in so much pain, so much torment but I can choose neither for I'm hanging in between.
My mouth is sewn shut, no words will ever escape them.
And this smile, a smile which I cannot remove can never be taken off my face.
So how can you tell when I'm in pain?
I reach my hand out on one side, I cannot move closer. I try to move the other, no distance I will go.
I'm trapped in the middle... and I can never escape."

Scarecrow (c) me.

I keep coming back to this one and still can't come up with a response I like...I really want to go all philosophical and stuff. I like that the brush strokes are visible-adds to the effect.

I'll spare you a long read about all the different things I see in this and let you know that I love pics that 'talk' to me. Yup, I know I'm crazy but this pic just talks volumes. Like all art, it is up to the individual's perception.

I really like the shading on the hat, his shirt tail and his face.

Thanks XD I'm doing his brother now. He'll probably be done by tonight. I'm so glad someone actually likes it ^^

I like this method of coloring- I might give it a try myself, if you don't mind (although it probably won't look as good as you did it)

I love the whole idea of a tortured soul behind a smile... it's easy to relate to this picture, and that is what defines great art.
